Doultsinos Vassilios, Deputy Managing Director

Mr. Vassilios Doultsinos was appointed Deputy Managing Director (CEO) at Astir Palace Vouliagmenis S.A as of 1st April 2011. Mr Doultsinos holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Athens (1976), a master’s degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Wales (1991-1992) and he has also participated in the European Institute of Business Administration (INSEAD), in a banking management programme (1995) and in a Swaps and derivatives programme (1999). He has been working in NBG for 36 years and he has served as Director in Investment Banking of National Bank of Greece. He is an executive member of the Board of Directors of Astir Palace Vouliagmenis and member of LARKO S.A.

Paris Triantafyllidis, Finance Director

Mr Triantafyllidis is a chartered accountant (ICAEW), holder of a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance and member of the Economic Chamber of Greece.

He practiced audit for a number of years by working for London based audit firms and upon his return to Greece held the position of Audit Manager in KPMG Greece. In 2005 he was appointed as advisor of the Financial and Management Accounting Division of National Bank of Greece and in November 2006 assumed the position of Finance Director of ASTIR PALACE VOULIAGMENIS SA.

Metaxas Michael, Complex General Manager Astir Palace

Michael S. Metaxas was born in 1961 in Nigeria. He is a holder of a B.Sc. (Hon) Degree from the Sheffield City Polytechnic and he has a Diploma in Marketing from the Institute of Marketing, Edinburgh.

Mr. Metaxas joined Starwood Hotels & Resorts and assumed duties as a Complex General Manager at the Astir Palace Resort Athens, in April 2011. He transferred recently from the “Metropolitan” hotel in Athens where he was holding the position of the General Manager since November 2005.

Mr. Metaxas started his career in the hotel industry from the InterContinental hotels in 1984 with whom he stayed for twenty (20) years in different positions. His last position with InterContinental hotels was in 2004 as the Owner’s Representative In charge of Opening the hotel & assistant in the Gold Operations of the Lanitis Development (LDL), Limassol/Paphos, Cyprus. Mr. Metaxas remained in Cyprus until 2005 as an Opening General Manager of “Thalassa” hotel (Small Luxury Hotel), Paphos, Cyprus and as a General Manager of “Anassa” hotel (Leading Hotels of the World), Polis, Cyprus.

Maria Vesleme, Complex Director of Human Resources

She holds a Master’s Degree of Business Administration (MBA) with major in Human Resources Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University, USA. She started her career in 1992 in Human Resources at Koumbas group (insurance sector), where she remained until2001, when she assumed the position of Deputy Director of Human Resources of Everest group (food and beverage sector).

In 2002, she moved to the company Hellenic Entertainment Parks S.A. (entertainment sector) as Director of Human Resources. On November 1st 2006, she joined the Astir Palace as Complex Director of Human Resources, under the management of Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
